	Mr.G.Vedanand is the son of Mr.V.Sam Gnaniah and Mrs.Esther Gnaniah and great grand son of Pithavadiyan of Puthalam.  He was brought up in Chavara and had his early school education there.  Then he joined the T.K.M.Engineering College, Quilon and took his B.Sc.(Engineering) Degree in Civil Engineering.   He married Christa Thuthilene (Jeyanthi) the only daughter of Mr.J.John Sahaya Singh and Mrs.Vimala Singh, on 18th June, 1986.  She is a B.Com. graduate from the Women’s Christian College, NAGERCOIL.   Jeyanthi is the grand daughter of Mr.John Joseph who was the grand son of Rev.J.Joshua.   Mr.Vedanand  employed in the TWAD Board, is now doing business.  He is a dealer in L&T cement, builder of Perunchani Mini Hydel Project and Major building works at ISRO.   They have a son Joeshand  who is now studying in the Ponjesly Matriculation School, NAGERCOIL.  They now live in their family house opposite to the Women’s Christian College, NAGERCOIL.
