	Samuel Sabu was born on 7th September, 1955 to Dr.N.D.Jeyasekharan and Mrs.Rani Jeyasekharan.  He is the grand son of Mrs.Annammal Samuel who was the grand daughter of Rev.J.Joshua the second native Pastor of Nagecoil Home Church.  Sabu had his schooling in the Scott Christian Higher Secondary School, NAGERCOIL and then joined the Christian Medical College, Vellore, for his M.B.B.S. Degree.  He was a gold medalist in Surgery at the Christian Medical College, Vellore in the year 1978.  After securing his degree, he started his career in the Kanyakumari Medical Mission as its sponsored candidate.   He served the Mission for a few years, and then joined the Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai, for his M.S.Degree in General Surgery.   On securing the M.S.Degree he joined the Dr.Jeyasekharan Hospital as a full time Surgeon and a Gastroenterologist.  He is one of the directors of the Dr.Jeyasekharan Medical Trust, NAGERCOIL.   Sabu has a passion for hunting and he finds time among the busy schedule in the hospital to join his friends in hunting trips around NAGERCOIL, occasionally.   He married Beena the only daughter of Mr.Lionel Devasahayam and Mre. Sheela Lionel on 30th January, 1980.  Beena took her B.Sc. Degree in Home Science from the Women’s Christian College, Madras.  She has also secured a Diploma in Hospital Management recently.  She is now one of the Administrators in the Dr.Jeyasekharan Hospital, NAGERCOIL.   They are blessed with two daughters - Gitanjali and Sangita - born on 16th November, 1980, and 26th July, 1986, respectively.  The family now lives in their own house at Perumal Street, Parvathipuram, NAGERCOIL.
