	Ranjit is the son of Dr.N.D.Jeyasekharan and Mrs.Rani Jeyasekharan a great grand daughter of Rev.J.Joshua.  He was born on 9th December, 1959.  He had his school education at the Mission Schools in NAGERCOIL.  He joined the Madras Medical College and took his M.B.B.S.Degree.  Then he took the D.M.R.D. Diploma  from the Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai, and a Post Graduate Degree M.D. in General Medicine from Kasturba Medical College Hospital, Manipal.  He is now the Chief Physician at the Dr.Jeyasekharan Hospital, NAGERCOIL.   Ranjit married Sujatha daughter of Dr.C.Nelson and Mrs.Shanti Nelson of NAGERCOIL.  She took her B.Sc. Degree in Zoology from the Women’s Christian College, Madras and M.A.Degree in Public Administration from the Madras Christian College, Tambaram, Madras.  She is now working in the Dr.Jeyasekharan Hospital as an Administrator.   They have two children.  Deepika their daughter was born on 9th May, 1991 and is nine years old.  Rohan the son was born on 26th April, 1997.   The family is now living in their own house at K.P.Road, NAGERCOIL.
