Stephen Rose is the son of Mr.Charles Rose a popular Advocate hailing from
Mullanginavilai, Kanyakumari District. He was born on 1st June, 1924.
On completing his education Stephen Rose joined the Central Bank of
India at Bombay.
He
married Margarette Scella youngest daughter of Mr.A.D.Edwards and Mrs.Jane
Edwards of Marthandam. Mrs.Jane Edwards was the grand daughter of
Rev.J.Joshua the second Pastor of NAGERCOIL Home Church. She was born on 18th June,
1932 and had her school
education at Marthandam. Then
she joined a Teachers’ Training School at Madurai and took a Trained Teachers’
Certificate.
On completion of her Teacher Training Course she was appointed as a
Teacher in the Government Middle
School at Thuckalay. She served in that school till her
retirement.
Mr.Stephen Rose retired
after a long service
of more than forty years in the Bank and returned to Thuckalay and settled
there with the family in their own house.
They have two daughters and two grand children. The elder daughter named Abia
Shanthi is married to Mr.Vijendran D.S.Gainneos and are settled in Gandhi
Nagar, Gujerat. They have a son Johann Justeev who is fifteen years old
now. The younger one called Shirly Jane is settled in Chennai with her
husband Mr.G.Sam Gnanakumar and the only daughter Dolly born on 2nd July,
1993.
