She had her education from the Mission Schools and College in NAGERCOIL.  From an early age she is interested in Religious and Missionary activities.   She got married to Mr.Russel Raghaviah son of Mr.K.Swamidhas and Mrs. Annammal Swamidhas of Kattuvilai, Neyyoor.  He started his school career at Neyyoor and continued it at Eraniel.  He graduated from the Scott Christian College, NAGERCOIL, and also took a B.T., Degree from Tuticorin.   He joined the Travancore-Cochin Government service and was later allotted to the Tamil Nadu Government service.  After a period of nine years he resigned that job and joined the Diocesan Education Service.   He served at various Mission Schools under the Kanyakumari Diocese for twentytwo years of which twenty years, from 1964 till his retirement in 1984 in  the Scott Christian Higher Secondary School, NAGERCOIL.               Mrs.Pushpam Russel served the YWCA, NAGERCOIL, for four years as one of its Joint  Secretaries and during this period they constructed a building for the association in which is housed the Edna Noble Primary School, now.               They have two sons - Satya and Sudhakar - and a daughter Sheyama.  Samuel David Satya the eldest son did his B.B.A.Degree from the V.O.C.College, Tuticorin.  He also holds a diploma in Company Law & Banking Law.  He is employed in the Tamilnadu Mercantile Bank.  His wife Anita, is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Abraham Henry  of NAGERCOIL.  She is a M.Sc., B.Ed., Degree holder and is employed as a teacher in the Duthie Girls Higher Secondary School, NAGERCOIL.  They have a son and a daughter.  Paul Swamidhas Sudhakar  the second son is a Psychiatrist with  M.B.B.S., M.D., D.P.M., D.N.B. Degrees now works at the Christian Medical College, Vellore.               Their daughter Lydia Annlin Sheyamalatha obtained her B.Sc. Horticulture Degree from the Agricultural College, Coimbatore .  She married Mr.Rabi Sinha Lawson an Automobile Engineer with the Bhawan Automotive Centre, Muscat.  They have a daughter.               Mr.Russel Raghaviah and Mrs.Pushpam Russel now spend their retired life at their own house in NAGERCOIL   .
