Mr.M.William Daniel was the eighth son of Mr.J.A.Moses and Mrs.Grace Moses.  He had his schooling in Scott Chiristian High School, NAGERCOIL and after his graduation from the Madras Christian College, Tambaram, Madras he did his Bachelor of Training in Meston Training college, Madras.

 

He worked as headmaster in many schools in Tamil Nadu.  He used to be very systematic and orderly and always very sincere and honest in his work.

 

He had great passion for doing God’s ministry and he was able to do this in the schools he worked - including non Christian schools.  He was a man of great faith in Christ and he brought up his children in a good Christian way.  He is a very kind and loving person.

 

William Daniel married Mercy Edna daughter of Mr.P.N. Malachi and Mrs. Pooranam Malachi a grand daughter of Rev,.J.Joshua the second native Pastor of the NAGERCOIL Home Church.  She was a lively, loving, jovial, witty person who was gifted with music.  She completed ATCL Teachers Diploma in piano from the Trinity College of London and was talented in acting, singing and even composing poems.  She taught us to have family prayers always.

 

After finishing schooling in St.Joseph’s Convent School, NAGERCOIL and Duthie Girl’s High School, NAGERCOIL, she had her Teachers’ Training in Trivandurm.  Then she joined as a teacher in St.Joseph’s Convent and served there for some time.  Leaving this job she joined the Home Church Primary School, NAGERCOIL, and served there as a teacher for more than ten years.She sacrificed every comfort and happiness for the sake of her children.  They both gave much importance for love and unity in the family. 

 

She died on 22nd October 1994, at the age of 71 years leaving behind her husband who is now at Chennai with his daughter.

 

            God blessed them with five children - four sons and an only daughter. The eldest son Moses Malachi Devaprasad completed his medicine in JIPMER Medical College, Pondicherry.  He was a God’s Gift to the family and a very talented, loving , God fearing lad.  In the year 1974, on 5th August, he was taken to His Glory.

 

            Their daughter the second child named Rachel Grace Angela married Mr.Vincent Jeyakumar the eldest son of Mr.B.A.Aruliah and Mrs.Arputham Aruliah.  He was the Principal of the AVM Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Virugambakkam, Chennai.  Rachel was working as P.G.Assistant in Church Park School, Chennai.  They are blessed with two sons.

 

Their second son Joshua Chandra Prabhu works as a Operations Supervisor in Saudi Arabia.  He married Deva Manohari, daughter of Mr.Muthiah and Mrs.Sundarabai Muthiah.  They have three daughters.

 

Their next son David Rabindran is working  for an oil company in UAE.  He married Laila David daughter of Mr.S.P.James and Mrs.Vimala James.  They have a son and a daughter.

 

            Andrew Jeyaprakash the youngest in the family is now working in Australia as a medical Doctor.  He married Alishiya daughter of Mr.Devasahayam and Mrs.Saroja Devasahayam.  They have a son. Andrew is settled in Australia having his own hospital "Terrace Clinic" .

 

            Mr.M.William Daniel and Mrs.Mercy William were an ideal couple, and  sacrificing parents.  Their children say about their parents as follows:  “We thank our Lord, each time we think of you”.He was a man of great faith in Chr
