Annie was the fourth child of Rev.J.Joshua the second Pastor of NAGERCOIL Home Church.  She had her early education in the Mission Schools at NAGERCOIL.  Her mother died while she was seven years old and her father looked after her and the other children lovingly and brought them up just as their mother would have done, in a disciplined manner, providing them a good Christian atmosphere and education.

Annie was given in marriage to Dr.N.Asirwatham, who lost his first wife Grace the eldest  daughter of Rev.J.Joshua.  She became a dutiful wife to Dr.N.Asirwatham, and a loving mother to the three children (boys) left behind by Grace her eldest sister.

Dr.Asirwatham  was a qualified medical doctor and served in theNeyyoor Hospital of the South Travancore Medical Mission, till his retirement.  His efficient selfless service was well recognised by the foreign Medical Missionaries.  He was also respected and held in high esteem by the Christian Community and other people of the locality.

God blessed Annie with three daughters named Gracelet, Elsielet and Jessilet.  Gracelet was given in marriage to Puthianayagam, Elsielet to Joseph Charles David and Jessilet to A.P.Dawson.  None of them are with us now.  However their children and their families are settled in Bangalore, Vellore and Madras now.
